The UNICEF Open 2012 was a tennis grass court tournament for women in 's-Hertogenbosch . As a tournament in the International category, it was part of the WTA Tour 2012 and took place from June 17 to 23, 2012. At the same time the AEGON International was held in Eastbourne , which, however, belonged to the premier category .

The defending champion in the singles was the Italian Roberta Vinci , who was eliminated in the quarter-finals. In this year's final, Nadja Petrowa was able to prevail against Urszula Radwańska , who reached the individual final of a WTA tournament for the first time in her career. This was Petrowa's first single title of the current season. In doubles, Barbora Záhlavová-Strýcová and Klára Zakopalová were the defending champions, with only Záhlavová-Strýcová participating again this year; she was eliminated in the semifinals. Petrowa also reached the final in doubles, but lost there together with Marija Kirilenko against Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci.

qualification

Four qualifying places were played out for the individual, which entitle them to participate in the main field of the tournament.
