Men's singles at the 1991 Wimbledon Championships

Defending champion was Stefan Edberg . Michael Stich and Boris Becker contested the final , which Stich won in three sets. This was the first and only Grand Slam title in his career. After the women's final in 1931 between Cilly Aussem and Hilde Krahwinkel , it was the only purely German Wimbledon final in men's singles to date.
