Wolf Prize

The Wolf Prize (Wolf Prize) has been awarded to scientists and artists by the Israel- based Wolf Foundation since 1978 . It is awarded for “services to the good of mankind and friendly relations among peoples”.

The award was donated by Ricardo Wolf , a German-born inventor and former Cuban ambassador to Israel.

It is awarded in six disciplines and is endowed with $ 100,000  each . In the natural sciences, after the Nobel Prize and in mathematics, alongside the Abel Prize and the Fields Medal, it is one of the most prestigious awards in the world.
