Aller is a municipality ( concejo in Asturias, corresponds to municipio in the rest of Spain) in the south of the autonomous region of Asturias in Spain .
The municipality with its 10,613 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) has an area of 376 km². The main town and administrative seat is Cabañaquinta .
Geography and climate
The highest point is the Esturbín de Valverde at 2,115 meters. In the course of the Aller , large coal reserves have been mined for a long time.
Pleasantly mild summers alternate with mild, rarely harsh winters. In the high areas, winters can be quite severe.
