Coreno Ausonio is a municipality in the province of Frosinone in the Italian region of Lazio with 1578 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is 140 km south-east of Rome and 62 km south-east of Frosinone .

Coreno Ausonio is located in the Monti Ausoni on the slope of Monte Maio (940 m). It is a member of the Comunità Montana L'Arco degli Aurunci .

The neighboring towns are Ausonia , Castelforte ( LT ), Castelnuovo Parano , Minturno (LT), Santi Cosma e Damiano (LT), Spigno Saturnia (LT) and Vallemaio .
