geography
The municipality is located in the Upper Rhine Plain , about 18 kilometers north-north-west of Mulhouse and about eight kilometers southeast of Guebwiller , the seat of the sub-prefecture .
history
From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Feldkirch belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Gebweiler district in the Upper Alsace district .
