Magstatt-le-Bas in Sundgau is about ten kilometers west of the Rhine and 15 kilometers south of Mulhouse .

history
The village used to belong to the Oberlandser rule.
From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Magstatt-le-Bas belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the district of Mulhouse in the district of Upper Alsace .
