The “Turbines” suffered their only defeat on matchday 20 when they lost a 1-0 lead at 1. FFC Frankfurt and lost 2-1. In addition to Potsdam, FCR Duisburg entered the Champions League in 2001. The 1. FFC Frankfurt, on the other hand, missed qualifying for the European Cup for the second time in a row.
