Honsbacher Mühle is a watermill and a residential area that belongs to the town of Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Honsbacher Mühle is located in the northeast of the urban area of Lohmar. Surrounding towns and hamlets are Honsbach in the north and northeast, Neuhonrath in the east, southeast and southwest, Auel and Windlöck Castle in the southwest, Birken in the west, Honrath , Honrath Castle , Agger , Naafshäuschen and Honsbach in the northwest.
The Honsbach, an orographically left tributary of the Agger , flows alongside the Honsbacher Mühle. The Agger itself flows west along Honsbacher Mühle.
The mill used to be powered by a branch of the Hähnger brook, which also fed the reservoir in front of the water wheel.
history
The house of the Honsbacher Mühle was first mentioned in a document in the 17th century.
In 1885, Honsbacher Mühle had 17 residents who lived in three houses.
Until 1969, Honsbacher Mühle belonged to the previously independent municipality of Wahlscheid .
At the beginning of the 1990s, the Honsbacher Mühle was renovated by the married couple Gabriele and Robert Jeschke using old construction methods and materials. At that time there was a restaurant in the main house of the mill.

- The mill's water wheel has been lost. The mill's house was hewn in 1807/08. Since 1985 the Honsbacher Mühle has been used as an inn. Today it is a residential building.

- Donated in 1914 by the Kockerol siblings, owners of the Honsbacher Mühle, it bears the inscriptions:
