- Deir ez-Zor / Syria : On November 3, 2017, the Syrian government troops announced the liberation of the city of Deir ez-Zor on the Euphrates from the terrorist organization Islamic State .

- Beirut / Lebanon : The previous Prime Minister Saad Hariri is resigning from his government office. The reason for this is that the political situation in Lebanon has worsened.

- Brussels / European Union : The foreign and defense ministers of 23 of the 28 EU states have informed the European Council that they will in future go together in defense within the framework of the Pesco . The four EU states Denmark , Ireland , Portugal and Malta as well as the still-EU state Great Britain are not included.

- Bir al-Abd / Egypt : At least 235 people are killed and 125 injured in a bomb attack on the el-Rawdah mosque immediately after Friday prayers.
