  • Nairobi / Kenya : A spokesman for the election commission for the presidential election two days ago describes the proclamation of the election victory by the opposition as “ridiculous”. The official result after counting almost all of the votes, the commission shows with 54.2% approval of the old and new President Uhuru Kenyatta , while only 44.9% of the votes go to the opposition Raila Odinga .
  • Sisimiut / Greenland : In the west of the island, 500 hectares of grassland, including the peat below, are on fire. Climate researchers consider the increasingly frequent tundra fires on the island to be a result of global warming .
