Georgia participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics in the Greek capital Athens with 32 athletes, 6 women and 26 men.

It was Georgia’s third participation in the Summer Olympics since 1996 .

Flag bearer

The judoka Zurab Swiadauri (ზურაბ ზვიადაური) carried the flag of Georgia during the opening ceremony in the Olympic Stadium .

Medalist

With two won gold and silver medals, the Georgian team was ranked 32 in the medal count .
