The Players Tour Championship 2010/11 - Event 5 was a snooker tournament that took place from October 8-10, 2010 at the World Snooker Academy in Sheffield . After the first four tournaments in Sheffield from June to August, two tournaments took place on the European continent, making this tournament the seventh of the Players Tour Championship (PTC) 2010/2011.
After an Englishman had won three times in the English snooker stronghold, the top Chinese player Ding Junhui was the first time a non-British player reached the final. He also won the tournament with a 4-1 win over Welshman Jamie Jones .
95 professional players and 67 amateurs wanted to take part in the tournament. On Thursday, October 7th, there was therefore a qualification in which the amateur players played off 32 participants for the main tournament.
On the first day of the tournament, the top half of the seeding list played the first three rounds, on the second day the bottom half went to the tables. On the final Sunday there were four rounds from the round of 16 to the final.
