Radical 210 齊 meaning "evenly" is one of only two traditional radicals in Chinese writing with fourteen strokes. The modern abbreviation齐in the People's Republic of China is greatly reduced but still leaves at least guess its origin.
With three character combinations in Mathews' Chinese-English Dictionary , it is very rare in dictionaries. Also in the Kangxi dictionary there were no more than 18 (out of 40,000) characters that could be found under this radical.
Three ears of corn next to each other should give the impression of a lot of the same things in the original sign.
