Altenhaus was a residential area in the municipality of Bechen . The area of ​​the district is located in Kürten in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis . Altenhaus did not fall in ruins, but rose in the church village of Bechen. Today the name Altenhaus is no longer used.

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and the Prussian first recording as an old house and on the Prussian first recording from 1840 as a retirement home .

In 1822, 48 people lived in the place, which was categorized as a courtyard and designated as a (old) house . In 1830 the place was called Altenhaus .
