From the Prussian new recording in 1892, it is regularly recorded as Eulensiefen on measuring table sheets .

The municipal and Gutbezirksstatistik the Rhine Province leads Eulensiefen in 1871 with a dwelling house and four residents on in the town of Olpe. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province of 1888, houses with four inhabitants are given and the place is designated. In 1895 the place had a house and five residents. In 1905 the place had a house and five residents and belonged to the Catholic parish of Kürten.

In 1927 the Olpe mayor's office was transferred to the Olpe office.
