The place is not recorded by name on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and on the Prussian first survey of 1840. From the Prussian new admission in 1892, it is regularly recorded on measuring table sheets as Pütz .

In 1822, 28 people lived in the village, which was categorized as a courtyard and called Pütz . In 1830 the place had 30 inhabitants. The place, which was categorized as a courtyard in 1845 according to the survey of the government district of Cologne , had four houses at that time. At that time there were 44 people living in the village, all of whom were Catholic.
