Schultheismühle is a residential area in the municipality of Kürten in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

The place is east of Olpe on the county road 31 between Olperhof and Erlenbusch .

history

Under French administration between 1806 and 1813, the Steinbach office was dissolved and Schultheismühle was politically assigned to Mairie Olpe in the canton of Wipperfürth in the Elberfeld arrondissement . In 1830 the place had 35 inhabitants and was called a mill . The Schultheismühle

The eponymous watermill was on the Olpebach . It was mentioned in a document in 1736 and was initially an oil mill , later a flour mill . Until the middle of the 19th century it was simply called Mühl or Zur Mühl , but was entered in the original cadastre as Schultheisermühle . Small oil millstones with a diameter of only 50 cm have been preserved at the property, which has been in the family for 200 years.
