Oelsiefen was a residential area in the municipality of Kürten in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

Location and description

The place was probably on the creek of the same name Ölsiefen near Offermannsheide on the border with Lindlar . Today this area is in the nature reserve Ölsiefental . There is still a street Am Oelsiefen in Offermannsheide today .

history

On the Prussian new recording from 1892, a single house on Ölsiefen is shown. A house is recorded on the later TK25 until the 1960 / 1970s.

In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province of 1888, a house with three residents is given under the name Oelsiefen . The location is no longer listed in later directories.
