Castrignano de 'Greci is a south-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3829 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Lecce in Apulia . The municipality is located about 23.5 kilometers south-southeast of Lecce in southern Salento . Castrignano de 'Greci belongs to the Graecia Salentina , in which Griko is still spoken.

The origin of the community can no longer be traced historically. What is certain is that a fortified complex already existed in Roman antiquity. During the Norman rule, Castrignano de 'Greci was part of the county of Lecce.
