Couville is located on the Cotentin peninsula , in the Armorican massif, around ten kilometers southwest of Cherbourg . The municipality borders on:

Couville is crossed by the Paris-Cherbourg railway line, but there is no longer a train station. The next stops are Cherbourg (actually the terminus) in the north, and Valognes in the south.
