Port-Bail-sur-Mer is a French commune with 2,588 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Manche department in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Cherbourg and the Canton of Les Pieux .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by merging the previous municipalities of Denneville , Portbail and Saint-Lô-d'Ourville . Since then, these have been Communes déléguées . The administrative headquarters are located in Portbail.

location

Port-Bail-sur-Mer is located on the Cotentin peninsula and borders the English Channel in the southwest . A beach area separates the municipality from the open sea.

Neighboring municipalities are Saint-Georges-de-la-Rivière in the northwest, Le Mesnil and Fierville-les-Mines in the north, Besneville in the northeast, Canville-la-Rocque in the east, Saint-Sauveur-de-Pierrepont in the southeast and La Haye in the South.
