Boutteville is a French municipality with 73 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Manche in the region of Normandy .
geography
Boutteville is located between Sébeville in the west and Sainte-Marie-du-Mont in the east, 6.2 kilometers southwest of Utah Beach , about 10 kilometers north of Carentan and 33 kilometers north of Saint-Lô on the Cotentin Peninsula . The municipality is part of the Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin Regional Nature Park .
Attractions
The Château de Reuville and its stud farm date from the 19th century. The outbuildings and storage buildings date from the 18th century. The castle is privately owned.
The manor Manoir de La Cour was built in the early 16th century and enlarged by the 1599th It is privately owned.
The Romanesque parish church of Saint-Hermeland dates from the 11th or 12th century, the pointed arch ceiling was built in the 13th or 14th century. The porch was built in the 16th century. In the church is the grave slab of Jacques Pillegrain, a canon of Coutances who died in 1587. The grave slab has been classified as a Monument historique (historical monument) since 1980 .
economy
The economy of Bouteville is characterized by small farms. In 2015 there were a total of 15 farms in the village, the majority of which were active in agriculture and mainly in breeding domestic cattle and dairy farming.
