La Hague is a French commune with 11,634 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Manche department in the Normandy region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Cherbourg and the Canton of La Hague .
It was created with effect from January 1, 2017 as Commune nouvelle through the amalgamation of all 19 municipalities of the former Communauté de communes de la Hague , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Beaumont-Hague.

location
La Hague is located on the Cotentin peninsula in the La Hague landscape of the same name and borders the English Channel to the west and north . Neighboring municipalities are Cherbourg-en-Cotentin in the east and Nouainville , Sideville , Teurthéville-Hague , Helleville and Héauville in the south.
