Surtainville is located about 32 kilometers southwest of Cherbourg on the Atlantic coast on the western side of the Cotentin peninsula . Surtainville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Rozel in the north, Pierreville in the north and northeast, Bricquebec-en-Cotentin in the east, Sénoville in the south and southeast and Baubigny in the south.
