Négreville is a French city with a population of 810 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Manche in the region of Normandy . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Cherbourg and the canton of Bricquebec . The inhabitants call themselves Négrevillais .

Geographical location

Négreville is located about 16 kilometers south-southeast of Cherbourg-Octeville on the Douve , into which the River Gloire flows, in the center of the Cotentin peninsula . Négreville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brix in the north, Saint-Joseph in the northeast, Yvetot-Bocage in the east, Morville in the south and southeast, Rocheville in the west and Sottevast in the northwest.
