Rocheville is a French city with a population of 604 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Manche in the region of Normandy . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Cherbourg and the canton of Bricquebec . The inhabitants call themselves Rochevillais .

Geographical location

Rocheville is located about 15 kilometers south of Cherbourg-Octeville in the center of the Cotentin peninsula . The Douve limits the municipality to the northeast. Rocheville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sottevast in the north, Negréville in the east, L'Étang-Bertrand in the south and south-east and Bricquebec-en-Contentin in the south and west.
