Dinsheim-sur-Bruche (German Dinsheim ) is a French commune with 1,476 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). The village was officially called Dinsheim until 2003 and was then renamed to avoid confusion with Dingsheim . The appendix to the place name comes from the river Bruche (dt. Breusch) , on which the place is located. The national statistical office INSEE had already named Dinsheim in the 1999 census as Dinsheim-sur-Bruche.

geography

Dinsheim is located west of Molsheim and Mutzig , in the foothills zone between the Vosges and the Upper Rhine Plain . The village is north of the Breusch, on the other bank is the municipality of Gresswiller , where there is also a train station on the Strasbourg - Saales line . The N 420 and D 392 lead through the Dinsheim marking.

history

From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Dinsheim-sur-Bruche belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Molsheim district in the Lower Alsace district .
