Flexbourg (German Flexburg ) is a French commune with 457 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). An important line of business in the area is agriculture with arable and viticulture. The community is a member of the Communauté de communes de la Mossig et du Vignoble .

history

From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Flexbourg belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Molsheim district in the Lower Alsace district .

The village belonged from 1992 to 2007 with Bergbieten and Dangolsheim the community association Communauté de communes of the Village du Kehlbach and then from 2008, the Communauté de communes de la Porte du Vignoble , which in turn 2017 et Communauté de communes de la Mossig du Vignoble rose .
