List of Django films

The list of Django films provides a chronological overview of those film productions that, at least in German-speaking countries , were titled with the addition Django . Very often this is an advertising measure in an attempt to tie in with the first Django film from 1966. Due to its success, a previously made film - also with Franco Nero in the leading role - in Django - his hymn book was renamed the Colt .

The wave of Django films is mainly concentrated in the years 1966 to 1970. In the early 1970s, until 1973, significantly fewer titles were created, after which the movement subsided completely. In 1987, Django's return was followed by the actual sequel to the original film, again with Franco Nero in the eponymous role. In 2012, Quentin Tarantino made an homage to the first film with Django Unchained .

In Europe around 70 films were evaluated under the Django title; 21 of them have the name of the hero in the original title.

Most of the productions are of Italian origin. Some of the films were staged in cooperation with Spain and Germany.
