The district of Nawalparasi ( Nepali नवलपरासी जिल्ला Nawalparāsī Jillā ) was one of the 75 districts in Nepal that existed until the 2015 constitutional amendment.
The new constitution created seven provinces in Nepal , to which the districts were assigned as subordinate administrative units. Nawalparasi was one of the two districts that were divided into two provinces. The part east of Bardaghat Susta now belongs to Gandaki Province (initially No. 4) and the western part to Province No. 5 .
The district was in the Lumbini administrative zone in the Terai on the Indian border.
