Attractions

The church in Steinbrunn-le-Haut, with its asymmetrically arranged choir and nave, is dedicated to Saint Mauritius and Our Lady of the Scapular . The baroque furnishings of the church include stone figures on both sides of the side door and in the side altars, the main altar with a tabernacle from 1687, the winged altar from 1530 and a baptismal font dated 1626.

On the part of the cemetery adjacent to the south-east side of the church there is a small chapel with two grave slabs from the 16th century. One plate shows the eight coats of arms of the families Reinach , Krebs von Mülheim, Zorn von Bulach , Degelin von Wangen, Payer von Hagenwyl, Falkenstein, von Andlau and Pforr , another stone shows a crawling stag, the arms of the knight family von Hirtzbach , which from 1274 to 1477 is proven.

The sundial with the year 1866 on the southeast side of the nave is a special feature.

Some half-timbered houses from past centuries have been preserved.
