Luge World Cup 2011/12

The 2011/12 Luge World Cup began on November 26, 2011 in Igls, Austria and ends on February 26, 2012 in Paramonowo, Russia . The highlight of the season was the 2012 Luge World Championships from February 11 to 12, 2012 in Altenberg .

The total scores include the points from the actual World Cup races as well as the points that were earned from the Nations Cups in which sleds that were not automatically qualified had to qualify for the World Cup races. In the count, these races always follow the World Cup races. This means that even if starters do not compete in the World Cup or are eliminated, they will be ranked before the non-qualified athletes from the Nations Cup, albeit without points. Unqualified starters from the Nations Cup cannot improve after these races.
