The University of New Brunswick (UNB) is a university in the Canadian province of New Brunswick . It is the oldest university in Canada teaching in English and one of the first public universities in North America . It has two larger campus facilities. The first campus opened in Fredericton in 1785 , the second is in Saint John and opened in 1964. The university also has two smaller campuses in Moncton and Bathurst , as well as two local offices in the Caribbean and one in Beijing . The university offers over 60 degrees at Bachelor and Master level.
