Uwe Strübing

Hans Uwe Strübing (born November 12, 1956 in Ravensburg ) is a German composer .

Life

Strübing grew up in Ravensburg; his father was in charge of the Stuttgart piano dealer Matthaes. In 1969 Strübing began to compose, from 1971 he was organist in the rural communities around Ravensburg. After graduating from high school, he studied biology and pharmacy at the University of Erlangen until 1982 and worked as an organist at the Erlangen Huguenot Church . He then completed his compositional studies at the Meistersinger Conservatory in Nuremberg with Gottfried Müller and Vivienne Olive .

Uwe Strübing lives in Fürth . He also works as a hospital pharmacist at the clinic and as a composer. His musical work includes chamber music , ensemble and orchestral works , sacred and secular vocal compositions , film music and an opera .
