The radical "Tiger" takes only in the traditional characters - list of traditional radicals consisting of 214 radicals 141. position. It can be found in a completely different place in modern abbreviation dictionaries. In the New Sino-German Dictionary from the People's Republic of China, for example, it is in 173rd position.
The striped fur can be guessed at in the seal lettering tiger. The feet of the upright tiger still stand under today's sign. Pronounced hu , this radical does not appear as a single sign. 虍 gets its pronunciation from 虎 (hu tiger), whose reduced form it is and from which it takes its descriptive name: 虎 字 头 (huzitou = head of the tiger sign).
