Bendfeld is a municipality in the Plön district in Schleswig-Holstein , which has no other districts.
Geography and traffic
Bendfeld is about 4 km southeast of Schönberg (Holstein) and just as far from the Baltic Sea. The community borders on the Schmoel, Neuhaus and Salzau estates. Bendfeld is 21 km away from Kiel. Characteristic for Bendfeld are large ponds, old trees and some typical Lower Saxony houses .

Bendfeld was first mentioned under the name Bentvelde when it was sold to Preetz Monastery in 1421 .

Others
The straw flap festival in Bendfeld, which has been taking place for many years, is extremely popular and famous in the Plön district. It is mostly celebrated in the late summer months (end of July / August) and organized by the rural youth at Lake Selenter. In addition to the barn party in Ottenhof (approx. 10 km from Bendfeld), it is the largest summer festival in the village area on Lake Selenter.
