Boksee is a municipality in the Barkauer Land region in the Plön district in Schleswig-Holstein . Ketelsberg and Im See are in the municipality.
Geography and traffic
Boksee is located on the federal highway 404 between Kiel and Bad Segeberg about at the level of Preetz . From 1911 to 1961, Boksee was the railway station of the Kleinbahn Kiel – Segeberg , whose tracks were removed in 1962.
history
Boksee was first mentioned as Buckze in 1378 . The place name probably means Buchensee . In 1572 Boksee changed into the ownership of the sovereign , before that Boksee belonged to the city of Kiel. Until 1867 the community was part of the Kiel office. With the formation of the districts in Schleswig-Holstein in 1867, Boksee belonged to the Kiel district, which was renamed the Bordesholm district in 1907 . After its dissolution in 1932, Boksee was incorporated into the Plön district.
