Entente Florale "Blooming Together" was a national competition for participating cities held annually from 2001 to 2014 as an additional German preliminary decision by Entente Florale Europe . German cities and municipalities have been taking part directly in the international competition since 1994. In 2014 the Zentralverband Gartenbau e. V. (ZVG), who supported the nationwide city competition Entente Florale “Blooming together” until then, to suspend the competition already announced for 2015.
The aim of the participating city is "to create a lively urban space with greenery and flowers in a joint action by the administration, politics, business and citizens."
The predecessor on a rural level was the competition “ Our village should become more beautiful ” , which has been held since 1961 . In today's competition “ Our village has a future ”, however, the competition commission is taking greater account of the infrastructure and activities of the local population in order to ensure that planning is sustainable on site.
