geography
Civray is about 14 miles west-southwest of Bourges . the river Pontet runs along the southwestern municipal boundary . Civray is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Plou in the north, Villeneuve-sur-Cher in the northeast, Saint-Florent-sur-Cher in the east, Lunery in the southeast, Primelles in the south, Saint-Ambroix in the southwest, Saugy in the west and Chârost in the northwest.
