Condat (also: Condat-en-Féniers , Occitan identical Condat ) is a French municipality with 995 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Flour and the canton of Riom-ès-Montagnes (until 2015 Condat ). The inhabitants are called Condatais .
geography
Condat is located about 50 kilometers north-northeast of Aurillac and about 55 kilometers south-southwest of Clermont-Ferrand in the north of the Cantal department. The mountain village is part of the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park . The river Rhue crosses the municipality . Neighboring communities are Montboudif in the north and north-west, Égliseneuve-d'Entraigues in the north and north-east, Chanterelle in the north and east, Montgreleix in the east, Marcenat in the south and south-east, Lugarde in the south and Saint-Amandin in the west and south-west.
