The 10th European Ice Hockey Championship took place in Czechoslovakia for the second time . The tournament was held from January 8th to 11th, 1925 .

The venue should initially be the Slavia Hall in Prague. However, a severe thaw prevented the event in the Czechoslovak capital. So the tournament was relocated to the High Tatras , to Štrbské Pleso and Starý Smokovec , where the games were played on two natural lakes that had been cleared of snow. The tournament was characterized by very little audience response, and the encounters had to be repeatedly interrupted by having to clear the snow.

Only four teams took part in the EM; In addition to hosts Czechoslovakia , these were the teams from Switzerland , Austria and Belgium . The hosts won the title confidently, with which Czechoslovakia won their fourth (including in 1912 even fifth) European championship.
