Dinamo Bucharest ( Fotbal Club Dinamo Bucureşti ) is a Romanian sports club from Bucharest . His soccer department has played in the first Romanian soccer league since 1948.

history

Dinamo Bucharest 1953

The club emerged on May 14, 1948 from the Bucharest football clubs "Unirea Tricolor MAI" ("Association of Three Colors / MAI") and "Ciocanul Bucureşti" ("Hammer Bucharest"). The team's first coach was Coloman Braun-Bogdan . Dinamo won the first championship in 1955 and the first trophy in 1959. These were the cornerstones for many other titles in the club's history. During the 1960s, five more championships and two cup wins followed, as well as many games on the European stage, making Dinamo Bucharest a name. In the 1970s, the team won the championship titles number six to nine. In the following decade, the club was able to record other national titles and international successes, in particular by reaching the semi-finals in the European Cup in 1984, where they were eliminated by Liverpool . Also of particular note was the last championship before the turn of the millennium in 1992, when Dinamo remained unbeaten for 34 games. In the following years, however, there were initially no successes. It wasn't until 2000 that the club returned with the national double. In the same year, a ten-year contract was concluded with the second division Poiana Câmpina , which should act as Dinamo's satellite team.

On June 12, 2006 Mircea Rednic was committed as a new coach. With him, Dinamo achieved its 18th and so far last championship in the 2006/07 season . Despite the great national successes, the club has not yet made its decisive international breakthrough. Also in the 2007/08 season they missed entry into the group stage of the UEFA Champions League by losing to Lazio in the third qualifying round. For this reason, the coach Rednic resigned on September 2, 2007 and was replaced on September 5, 2007 by the three-time world goalkeeper Walter Zenga , who only stayed until November 25 of that year. After Cornel Țălnar was in charge of the team in the meantime , Gheorghe Mulțescu took over the task of leading Dinamo sixth in the table back to the top on March 4, 2008 . Țălnar became his assistant coach. Already four weeks later, on March 31, 2008, Mulțescu resigned and Țălnar took over the training for the remaining eight game days of the 2007/08 season . In June 2008 Mircea Rednic was again coach of the team, his assistant coach was Ion Vlădoiu . In June 2009 Rednic resigned from his position and was replaced on June 23, 2009 by the former Italian international Dario Bonetti . This was dismissed in early October 2009 after controversial statements regarding Dinamo shareholders. After a 20-day interim solution by Marin Ion , Cornel Țălnar stepped into the breach again, this time with the support of Ioan Viorel Ganea as assistant coach. In the summer of 2010 Ioan Andone was coach of the team and was able to reach the final of the Cupa României 2010/11 . He was replaced by Liviu Ciobotariu on July 11, 2011 . Although Dinamo finished second and had won the semi-final first leg of the Cupa României 2011/12 against Gaz Metan Mediaş , Ciobotariu was dismissed after a home defeat by Petrolul Ploieşti on April 10, 2012 and replaced by the returnee Dario Bonetti.

After adidas , joma and Lotto , who were the technical outfitters, Nike took over this task in 2006 .

In March 2014, club chairman Cristi Borcea and patron Gigi Netoiu were sentenced to several years in prison for tax evasion. On May 14, 2014, the association filed for bankruptcy after investor Ionuț Negoiță announced his withdrawal.
