The Heidelberger Literaturtage is a literature festival in the UNESCO literary city of Heidelberg that has been taking place since 1994.

Content

The festival offers a variety of literary approaches and formats. In addition to readings by German-speaking and international authors, there are author talks, performative formats, exhibitions, music events and workshops . Publishers , bookshops and libraries present authors and new publications. The event takes place in an event tent with original Art Nouveau furnishings ("Danspleis Anno 1908").

The Heidelberger Literaturtage is a five-day literature festival that has existed in Heidelberg since 1994 . Readings by international writers take place, as well as discussions with authors and musical performances. Publishers , bookshops and libraries present authors and new publications.

In recent years, authors such as Jakob Arjouni , Monica Bleibtreu , Zehra Cirak , Thea Dorn , John von Düffel , Péter Esterházy , Lars Gustafsson , Sten Nadolny , Jorge Semprún , Ilija Trojanow , Urs Widmer and Juli Zeh have been involved .

The Literature Days are organized by the Heidelberg Literature Days Working Group, which brings together the German-American Institute Heidelberg , the Bureau de la Coopération Universitäre, the Montpellier House, the Cultural Office of the City of Heidelberg and the Heidelberg City Library .

In May 2019, the Heidelberg Literature Days celebrated their 25th anniversary.
