La Bussiere is a French village with 323 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it is part of the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Montmorillon (until 2015: canton of Saint-Savin ).

La Bussière is located about 37 kilometers east-northeast of Poitiers . The Gartempe flows in the east of the municipality. La Bussière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Pierre-de-Maillé in the north, Nalliers in the east and south-east, Saint-Savin in the south and south-east, Paizay-le-Sec in the south and south-west and La Puye in the west.
