People, images, emotions is an on RTL broadcast television program to show character . It is moderated by Günther Jauch and broadcast live . The theme of the show is a look back at almost the past year. In addition to politicians , celebrities and musicians , private individuals with moving stories are invited as guests . The show was first broadcast on December 15, 1996. Jauch had already moderated the annual review Menschen on ZDF from 1989 to 1995 . The broadcast always takes place on the first or second Sunday in December. The program is produced in the studios of nobeo GmbH in Hürth near Cologne .
In the target group of 14 to 49 year olds, the program has had an average market share of 27.2 percent since 2000 . The show is followed annually by around 6.65 million viewers.
format
Every year, celebrities, but also unknown people, who have experienced something special in the past year, have achieved something or have other moving stories to tell are invited to the show. This is followed by a short film with some information about the person and the story, followed by a few minutes long conversation between the moderator Günther Jauch and the guest. The studio will be redesigned for each guest accordingly.
There is also live music from musicians who were particularly successful in the past year, such as Adele in 2015 with the number 1 hit Hello .
