Mesewinkel is a village in the North Rhine-Westphalian municipality of Schalksmühle . It has 14 residents and is located in a hilly area north of Landesstraße 561, here called Heedfelder Straße .

Location and description

Neighboring locations, courtyards and living spaces are Hülscheid , Altenhülscheid , Kamp , Mummeshohl , Haue , Everinghausen , Felde , Berkey and the Hilmecke desert . Mesewinkel belongs to the school district of the Spormecke community elementary school.

The place is marked on the Prussian first recording from 1840 with Mesenwinkel . In the 19th century, Mesewinkel belonged to the rural community of Hülscheid in the Altena district .

In 1818 the place had 17 residents. In 1839 the place was categorized under the name Mesewinkel as a farm within the Midder farmers' association , which at that time was one of three farmers in the Hülscheid municipality within the Halver mayor . In 1839 twelve residents lived in two houses, all of whom belonged to the Protestant faith. Mesenwinkel belonged to the parish of the Hülscheider (ref.) And Hedfelder (Lutheran) churches.

In 1844 the municipality of Hülscheid with Mesewinkel was split off from the Halver office and assigned to the newly established Lüdenscheid office .
