Municipal council

The council in Niederhorbach consists of eight council members, who in the local elections on May 26, 2019 in a majority vote were elected, and the honorary mayor as chairman. Until 2009 the council had twelve council members.

Ralf Lorenz became mayor of Niederhorbach in 2015 . In the direct election on May 26, 2019, he was confirmed in his office for a further five years with a share of 62.73% of the votes. His predecessor Walter Hoffmann resigned in June 2015 for health reasons.
