Incorporations
Today's community was created on June 7, 1969 as part of the Rhineland-Palatinate administrative reform by merging the two communities of Heuchelheim and Klingen. Both had previously belonged to the Bad Bergzabern district . The newly formed community came to the Landau-Bad Bergzabern district, which was established in 1969 and was renamed the Südliche Weinstrasse district in 1978. The amalgamation of the two communities took place despite a failed referendum against the will of the population. Attractions
In the district of Heuchelheim, the town hall is one of the sights, which is striking due to its round arches and historical half-timbering. In the church of St. Oswald, frescoes from the Middle Ages can be seen in the choir room.
In the Klingen district, the old village church from the late Middle Ages is particularly worth seeing. In it stands one or even the oldest organ in the Palatinate. The old heraldic forge is also worth seeing.
But the village facilities themselves are worth seeing because of their old and well-kept buildings. The districts were already winners, as well as third in the federal decision of our village should be more beautiful .
