South African national cricket team in Pakistan in the 2007-08 season

The tour of the South African national cricket team to Pakistan in the 2007/08 season took place from October 1st to 29th, 2007. The international cricket tour was part of the 2007/08 international cricket season and included two tests , five ODIs . South Africa won the Test Series 1–0 and the ODI Series 3–2.

prehistory

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2006/07 season in South Africa . Originally two ODIs were planned in Peschawar and Rawalpindi , but they were relocated to Lahore and Karachi for safety reasons . The last ODI, which was planned in Karachi, was moved to Lahore at short notice for security reasons. In addition, the security measures to protect the South African team have been tightened.

South Africa named its test roster on September 20 and the ODI roster on October 9, 2007. Pakistan named its test roster on September 28 and ODI roster on October 12, 2007.
